Do you mean carriers or manufacturers? If you mean carriers it depends on where you live. There is no single carrier that is the best everywhere.

Best AT&T Android Smartphone

I am due for an upgrade soon and I was wondering what the best AT&T Android smartphone is. I am considering the Motorola Atrix 4g and the Inspire 4g. What do you all think? Thanks for the help in advance!

and love it. It's half the price of the Atrix. The Atrix has a dual core processor and the Inspire a single fast processor. I've seen the test between the 2 and the Atrix is a little faster. It depends how your going to use it. I was in love with the EVO for awhile and didn't want to move to Sprint so when the Inspire came out I was eligible to upgrade and bought it the day it came out.

the Atrix may be the best but considering the Inspire is half the cost the Atrix isn't twice as good as the Inspire.

iPhone backup files

Just wanted to know if there's a way to find the last backup files, such as (call history, contacts, songs, etc.) on the hard drive of my windows vista. I'm looking for the last saved backup files before I synced my iphone back to the original settings.

Atrix phone: I sound mushy to anybody I speak too

I really need help on this.

I have a new Atrix phone. Great phone except that I sound mushy to everybody I talk with. To run an app that was developed for my business at an acceptable speed the dual core is required. But I can't live with a phone that makes me sound like a cave dweller.

My girlfriend can't understand me when I call her. So she and I swap phones and when she calls me the she sounds mushy like she is calling from the shower.

If I plug in the wired headset the sound is ok, unplug it and it is mushy again.

According to ATT tech support the phone is functioning perfectly, and yes I did sound mushy to them too.

So off the the ATT store. All of their Atrix phones had the same problem. When they called my Atrix from one of thier Atrix's both of us sounded like we were calling from a cave. Both cleared up with the headset.

When we tried a virtually identical phone that looked like it came from the same factory and production line but was sold by another company, that dual core Droid sounded the same until we plugged in the headset.

I'm unable to use a bluetooth headset so I'm stuck with wires if I want to keep the Atrix. But walking around with a phone and wires dangling around my neck just doesn't cut it.

Has anybody else experienced this? Does anybody have a solution?

If I can't find a solution I'm going to have to return the Atrix and get one with great sound. That would mean I'd have to put the app I need on a pad that is compatable. That sucks because then I have to carry both.

If there isn't a solution for the Atrix, then is there another dual core Droid phone that will run on ATT that has great sound?

Thank you for your help,

Sincerely

Bob Lynn

What did they say in the ATT store when you asked them "is there another dual core Droid phone that will run on ATT that has great sound?"

Like I said, the only other one they had sounded just as mushy. I don't remember what brand it was but it wasn't a Motorolla Atrix.

Try the ATT or ATT smartphone sub-forum there for more specifics to see if anyone has a 'fix' yet.

It seems like not everyone is getting poor quality sound. Others have implied they are, and the noise supression and/or microphone may be at fault. Worth checking out if you haven't seen it already.

Well I returned the Atrix to the ATT store. I'm back on my old HTC 8525 for a couple of months until they get the bugs out and there are several mfg's with offerings that are comparable.

Then there will be some reliable ratings and any truly defective phones will be driven out of the market. Motorola (or whatever Chinese Co. did it for them) did a heck of a job on the machine, save one item - the phone. I truly loved everything about it except that few of the people I talk with could clearly understand me.

Onward and upward.

Total noob-Please suggest me a phone.

Hello people,

My present phone is dying and I am looking for something new. Please suggest me a model which can meet all or most of the criteria.
1)Form factor: Slide,Clamshell(with outside color screen)
2)OS: Nothing complicated
3)Battery:Minimum 2 days
4)Preferred brands: LG, Samsung,Nokia
5)Functions: MP3 player(possibility to control music without opening phone would be awesome), possibility to connect to PC via cable or bluetooth, A camera(1.3MP would suffice),video recording would be great,Polyphonic or MP3 ring tones,Expandable memory via card.

Does not have to be the latest model. My favorite was LG7120 but it had no video and MP3.

Thanks

downloading music

How do I download music off of myspace?

Reply 1 : downloading music

There will be a download button on their pages. Otherwise, you can't legally do it. Or they may provide a link to whichever service sells their music.

Reply 2 : downloading music

look if they are allowing you to hear it through an embedded on site player then you can download all the such songs through the real player after installing it, there will be a download bar appearing whenever you hear a song over there press it to download.

Unless the MySpace user provides a link or button for you to download the track, as has been mentioned, there is no "legal" way to do it.

You can also use Audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/) to "stream" the audio from your speakers into the program. On Windows, you will have to have Stereo Mix enabled in order for this to work -- I don't know if this is different for Macs. If you decide to go along with it and you need help with that, I'd be glad to walk you through it.

Yeah. All people know that we can't steal artists's music. It is illegal for us to download music without artists's permission.

If the websites has access to download music from MySpace, it is legal for us to do it.
Otherwise, we need to use a streaming audio capture to record music while it is streaming onto computer's sound card.
