blackberry storm activation

I just bought myself unlocked Blackberry Storm(9530).I took out Verizon SIM card replacing it with SIM card with SIM card of my current provider-Tracfone(prepaid phone).Trouble is that BB doesn't recognize new SIM so I can not place or receive phone calls/forget about accesing mobile web which Tracfone also has/.Maybe I'm doing something wrong?Can some help me?
